Virginia Union OT David Mims confirmed a rumor of Jaguars interest in a tweet directed to TheJaggernaut.com friend, Zoltan Paksa:
According to the tweet the Jaguars have shown interest in the 6’8, 343 pound tackle for a while and talked to him at the HBCU Bowl, an all-star game he participated in. With his size, Mims essentially projects exclusively as a tackle in the NFL and offers plenty of potential.
During his time at the Eastham Energy All-Star Game, Mims was a dominating force and was proclaimed as the best player there amongst small schoolers by small school expert, Josh Buchanan. Mims is a late round prospect that did not receive a combine invite and will have his pro day on March 16th.
