Jaguars to resign WR Jason Hill

Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reports that the Jaguars have agreed upon a two year deal with wide receiver Jason Hill and expect him to sign before the midnight deadline set to hit in just under three hours. Hill, who celebrated his 26th birthday two weeks ago, is entering his 6th season in the NFL in 2011 and his first full season as a member of the Jaguars.

In an interview at the combine, Jack Del Rio expressed an interest in trying to retain the veteran receiver. In six games and one start with the Jaguars, Hill pulled in 11 receptions for 248 yards and one touchdown. With Hill resigned, the receiver corps now includes Dillard, Osgood, Thomas, Mathews, Hill and Underwood. Mike Sims-Walker has yet to receive a contract and is scheduled to be a free agent this offseason.
